We have an online link through SumUp if you'd like to make a one-off donation by card. Or you can make your own arrangements via bank transfer or standing order using the inforamtion for each church, as well as the Donate and Give-a-little links below.

Fundraising for our churches in difficult times

Our churches are charities funded entirely by public donations. While we continue to serve the communities using new technology, staff and bills need paying, and our buildings still have to be insured and maintained.

Without weekly collections, or our regular fundraising events, our church resources are dwindling and we’d greatly appreciate donations to enable us to continue after the current situation is over.

If you’d like to support our local churches these are the details for making regular standing orders or one-off bank transfers:

Why your giving is so important

It surprises many people to learn that churches are NOT funded by the state. In fact, pretty much all the funding for our five churches comes entirely from the generosity and hard work of local residents, visitors and the people who worship in them week by week.

We cannot be afraid of talking about our finances. Like households, businesses and other charities, even though we keep our costs to a minimum, the church has financial commitments that enable us to carry out our work, and we need to pay our bills and keep our listed buildings in good shape.

All of the churches' mission in the community, its staff and administration, expenses and our general maintainance costs are funded through the generosity of people like you.  We also rely upon time given by volunteers and other help, in the form of fundraising activities, to meet the needs of the comunity we serve and to help others through organisations like Christian Aid.

Major restorations to preserve and improve our listed churches come at an additional cost. Those projects have to be funded through applications for grants and separate fundraising efforts. And even grant applications and bids for funding often now cost thousands of pounds to prepare and submit, without guarantee of success.

Across the Benefice we need to find around £70,000 a year to maintain our routine ministry here. That's approximately £1,300 per week.  Our ambitious projects across the benefice to restore and develop our churches for the benefit of the comunity will require extra support over the coming years.

The amazing thing is that if every resident were able to donate just £1 a week, we'd go a long way to meeting that target.

If you are able to give to support any of these five churches in some way, we thank you for taking time to prayerfully consider your gift. You can find out more here.

With every blessing,

The Ministry Team
